Anambra Govt Embarks On Digitalization Of Land Administration

The State government has restated its commitment to revolutionizing land administration and management across the State.

Speaking during a two day workshop organized for staff of the Ministry of Lands, the Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Mr Nnamdi Onukwuba said that plans are underway to digitize the operations of the Ministry so that Land transactions could be done through the internet facilities for efficiency.

Mr Onukwuba announced that the State government has sourced an investor who will fast track the digitization process through a cost effective mechanism, stressing that the Obiano administration is paying special attention to the Ministry, warning that any Staff caught engaging in sharp practices will be dealt with.

The Commissioner maintained that the workshop was designed to improve the knowledge of staff of the Ministry for increased productivity.

In a goodwill message, the Commissioner for Agriculture Mechanization, Processing and Export, Mr Afam Mbanefo, who maintained that there is a synergy between the Ministries of Agriculture and Lands, urged the staff of both Ministries to make themselves relevant in the scheme of things by discharging their duties effectively.
